NOAA Storm Spotter class a success!

The New Castle County Citizen Corps Council hosted a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration(NOAA) Storm Spotter class on Saturday June 20, 2009 from 10:00am – 4:00 pm at the Paul J. Sweeney Public Safety Building located at 3601 N. DuPont Hwy New Castle, DE 19720. The class was a great success with 32 people attending the Basic and Advanced Storm Spotter classes. Special Thanks to Larry Nierenberg from the National Weather Service, Mount Holly Office for teaching this class and to Mark Chandler, the New Castle County Skywarn Coordinator for setting up this class.

  1. Larry did his usual great job with the class. Gail and I enjoyed it very much and thanks to Brian for letting my ARES/RACES guy into the advanced class unscheduled, we both appreciate it!
