Last week's CERT class was a great success

Last week's Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training was a great success. Thirty-three members of the New Castle County community came to the Public Safety Building and were trained in the CERT curriculum, including disaster preparedness, terrorism awareness, small fire suppression (picture at left) and American Heart Association CPR/AED.

Congrats and thanks to our new CERT members for all their participation and energy. For further online training in search and rescue, visit https://www.citizencorps.gov/cert/SandR/introduction.htm and we'll be in touch.

If you missed this CERT class, check out http://www.citizencorps.gov/cert/about.shtm for more information about CERT and contact Jessi Schimmel at 302-395-2700 or jschimmel@nccde.org to be put on our interest list to receive notification of our next class.
